Rebecca Charnow

Rebecca Charnow is Director of Community Partnerships at Manhattan School of Music and Director of Camp MSM, the School’s residential summer program that provides intensive musical instruction for students ages 11–17 from around the world. Ms. Charnow also oversees the School’s dual degree program with Teachers College Columbia University. For the past fifteen years, she has taught a variety of courses at Manhattan School of Music, including “Musician as Educator,” “Arts & Education Training,” “Community Outreach for Musicians”, “Arts-in-Education and the Virtual Classroom,” and “Opera Singer as Educator.” She has been a guest lecturer at the New Zealand School of Music, Kobe College School of Music, Teachers College Columbia University, and the MENC National Conference.

Ms. Charnow earned a MA in music education from Teachers College Columbia University and a BA cum laude in music from Binghamton University. She holds permanent New York State K-12 teacher certification in music education.
