Scott Stauffer

Scott Stauffer has been sound designer on Broadway for A Free Man of Color, The Rivals, Contact (also in London and Tokyo), Marie Christine, Twelfth Night, and Jekyll & Hyde. Off-Broadway work includes Subverted, Hereafter, Honour, A Minister’s Wife, Bernarda Alba, Third, Belle Epoque, Big Bill, Elegies, Hello Again, The Spitfire Grill, Pageant, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Regionally Scott has done sound design for Capitol Rep, University of Michigan Theatre, The Hanger Theater, Berkshire Theater Festival, Chicago Shakespeare, and Alley Theatre in Houston. Sound designer for Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series from 1999 through 2016, he has also done concert sound design for the Actors Fund benefits A Centennial Celebration of Frank Loesser, Seth’s Broadway 101, Hair, and On the Twentieth Century and for Brian Stokes Mitchell at Carnegie Hall. He was sound engineer for The Lion King, Juan Darien, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Carousel, and Once on This Island on Broadway and Little Shop of Horrors off-Broadway.
