Identification

All MSM students are required to carry a Manhattan School of Music identification card at all times. Your student ID card gives you access to MSM buildings and practice rooms and is used as your meal plan card and library card.

All new students must email a digital photo to the Office of Information Technology by August 7, 2016. The photo should be taken in portrait orientation and saved at 72 DPI resolution (ideally the photo should be 300 pixels wide and 375 pixels high). Please submit photos via the Admissions Portal.

Manhattan School of Music has the right to reject any photo and to request a new photo. Those who do not supply an acceptable photo by the deadline will need to be extremely patient as they check in, as their ID card will not be ready upon their arrival.

Emergency Contact Form

All students must complete an Emergency Contact form prior to arriving at MSM. This form will indicate whom the school should contact should there be an emergency involving the students. Information about how to complete this document will be emailed out to all enrolled MSM students on July 1, 2016. Please keep an eye on your MSM email inbox for this message.  The deadline to complete this form is August 7, 2016.

Health Insurance

Students will be automatically enrolled in a School- sponsored health insurance plan and will only be allowed to waive this plan under certain conditions. ALL full-time Manhattan School of Music students are required to have health insurance that meets the minimum essential coverage requirements set by the U.S. Affordable Care Act. * The plan must be valid in New York State.
