International Student Services at Manhattan School of Music provides information to international students, exchange students, and short-term scholars. The office serves a population of more than 350 international students from over 50 countries around the world. Programs and services provided by the office are designed to meet the needs of new, returning, and currently enrolled international students.
The relationship between the international student and the office of International Student Services begins after the student has been admitted and has confirmed his/her intent to enroll at Manhattan School of Music. The office will then help the student throughout the multiple-step process of applying for a student visa, making sure the student arrives at the U.S. Embassy in his/her home country with the strongest application as possible for a student visa. Once the international student arrives to the school, International Student Services will help in many areas of the student's life at Manhattan School of Music and New York City, including help with bank accounts, social security numbers, and USCIS (United States Citizenship & Immigration Services) rules and regulations regarding legal employment opportunities.
