All new students start the 2013-2014 academic year by checking into Manhattan School of Music on August 28, 2013. The check in process is conducted between the hours of 8 AM and 1 PM. During this time students will receive orientation binders, school identification cards and have an opportunity to complete any outstanding paperwork.
Orientation is made up of three distinct areas of focus: orientation activities, placement exams and auditions. Orientation activities are designed to assist new students with the transition to studying at MSM and living in New York City. There are many opportunities to meet new friends, become acclimated with the school, and learn about all that the city has to offer. On July 1, 2013 details of the orientation activities planned by the Office of Student Life, as well as information from various departments, supplying you with much-needed material for beginning your studies at MSM will be made available to you here on this page. Friends & Family Weekend
Friends & Family Weekend is October 17-20, 2013. Please plan to have your families visit you and NYC for a weekend of sights and fun! Information on the 2013 Friends & Family Weekend will be available on July 1, 2013. Please come back at that time to for updated information.
