Orientation at MSM is a two week period of time, with focuses on getting new students acclimated to the school and NYC, as well as prepared to begin their course of study.  The first half is devoted to social events, placement testing and excursions around the city.  During the second half, students will take placement auditions for orchestra, jazz ensembles, opera and chorus.  Students will be given many opportunities to meet one another, as well as MSM staff and faculty. 

New students for the 2012-2013 academic year will be receiving an Orientation email in July of 2012, detailing events, meetings, excursions and other pertinent information.   Participation in Orientation events is required for incoming students.
