This information can be used to help calculate the cost of attending Manhattan School of Music and can also be used to calculate the contract amount if you choose to use the monthly payment plan offered by Academic Management Services.

Invoices for the Fall 2009 semester will be mailed by early June. The charges will include tuition, fees health insurance and housing (if applicable).

It is NECESSARY to remit payment, and/or complete and return ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION TO THE Bursar’s Office by August 5, 2009. Applications for Student and/or Parent Loans MUST be approved by July 14, 2009.

Late Fee Schedule
Tuition and fees are due by August 5, 2009. If payment is received late, late fees will be incurred as follows:

Payment is received from August 6 to August 19, 2009 $150
Payment is received from August 20 to September 2, 2009 $250
Payment is received on or after September 3, 2009 $350



If your tuition charges are fully covered by Financial Aid, and/or scholarships it is NECESSARY to return your invoice, calculation sheet, health insurance waiver (if applicable), and a copy of a signed award letter from Financial Aid, by the due date of August 5th, 2009. This is considered to be your payment. If it is not received by the due date you will be considered late, and assessed a late fee.


Payment Plans
Pay in Full Pay the full amount of your billed charges by August 5, 2009 for the fall semester to avoid being charged a late fee.
Academic Management Services (AMS) As a convenience, MSM offers the option of making tuition payments on a monthly basis through the TuitionPay Plan. The TuitionPay Plan spreads the cost of tuition for the entire academic year into 10 monthly installments. There is an enrollment fee of $105 to enter into this payment plan. The payments are made directly to AMS and are due on the first of each month.

The 10 month period for the 2009-2010 academic year begins June 1, 2009 and ends March 1, 2010. Your last day to enroll into this payment plan is August 22nd, 2009, but please note that since you are enrolling after the period beginning of June 1st, 2009 you will be expected to bring your account up to date and pay June 1st , July 1st, August 1st and the enrollment fee in order to begin this payment plan.
Deferred Payment Plan The Deferred Payment Plan offered by Manhattan School of Music spreads the cost of tuition into two payments for each academic semester. Please see below for payment due dates.
  • Fall 2009
    1. First payment will be due on August 5, 2009 and will include a $100 enrollment fee.
    2. The second and final payment is due on October 9th, 2009.

  • Spring 2010
    1. First Payment due on December 2nd, 2009 and will include a $100 enrollment fee.
    2. The second and final payment is due on February 12th, 2010.
Payments made utilizing this payment plan are made directly to the Manhattan School of Music and will incur late fees if payments are not made in a timely fashion. Please note that the enrollment fee for this payment option will be charged on a per semester basis. If you choose to utilize this option for the entire academic year you would be charged an enrollment fee for both the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters. Please note that there are separate promissory forms for each academic semester.
