Admission and Financial Aid Timeline

December 1

  • Unified Application deadline (electronically submitted). To visit the Unified Application Web page, please click here.
  • Prescreen material deadline (All materials must be received by the Office of Admission by December 1. This is not a postmarked deadline.).

Late December

  • Prescreen results e-mailed to applicants.
  • Individual live audition times for January auditions (see below for specific applicable instruments) will be e-mailed to those applicants who pass through prescreening or do not have a prescreening requirement.
  • Accompanist information will be e-mailed to all Classical & Orchestral Bassoon, Classical & Orchestral Clarinet, Classical & Orchestral Flute, and Orchestral Violin applicants.

January 1

  • Recorded DVD audition deadline for the January Audition period. DVDs must be received by the Office of Admission by the deadline; this is not a postmarked deadline. To find out whether you are eligible to submit a DVD audition, please click here.

Mid-January

  • Auditions will occur for Classical and Orchestral Woodwinds (except Saxophone), Classical and Orchestral Brass, Classical and Orchestral Percussion, Classical and Orchestral Bass, Classical and Orchestral Harp, and Orchestral Violin.

Late January

  • Individual live audition times for the March audition period and the Classical Guitar auditions (held in late February) will be e-mailed to those applicants who pass through prescreening or do not have a prescreening requirement.

February 1

  • Supporting materials deadline for all applicants. Documents such as transcripts, transcript translations, recommendation letters, World Education Services (WES) evaluations, and TOEFL scores are due.
  • Recorded DVD audition deadline for the March Audition period. DVDs must be received by the Office of Admission by the deadline; this is not a postmarked deadline. To find out whether you are eligible to submit a DVD audition, please click here.
  • Accompanist information will be e-mailed to all Classical & Orchestral Cello, Classical Violin, Classical & Orchestral Viola, and Classical Voice applicants.

Late February/Early March

  • Auditions will occur for all other instruments than those listed above.

March 1

  • Financial Aid application deadline (All materials must be received by the Office of Financial Aid by March 1. This is not a postmarked deadline.). Please refer to the Financial Aid page for complete information about applying for financial assistance.

April 1

  • All admission and financial aid (if applicable) results will be e-mailed.
