Mr. Duce is a faculty member in the College for the following department(s) and division(s):
| | | Scottish Pianist Geoffrey Duce has performed throughout Europe, in Japan, Hong Kong and in the USA. He has appeared as soloist with the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin in the Berlin Philharmonie, with numerous British orchestras, including the Scottish Sinfonia and the Edinburgh Philharmonic, and with the New York Sinfonietta.
Geoffrey has given solo recitals in London’s Wigmore Hall, Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, and at the Yamaha Piano Salon in New York City. He won the Young Artists Award from Britain's National Federation of Music Societies, and was awarded the Prix de Piano at the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, France. Also in demand as a chamber musician and accompanist, he has recorded for BBC Radio and Hong Kong Radio, and has performed in New York’s Weill Hall, Berlin’s Konzerthaus and in Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall.
Geoffrey initially studied in Manchester, before receiving a DAAD scholarship to the Universität der Künste, Berlin. He then graduated with the DMA from MSM, studying with Solomon Mikowsky and Nina Svetlanova, and is currently teaching Aural Skills.
Manhattan School of Music faculty since 2008.
