Mr. Norrell holds B.M. and M.M. degrees from The Juilliard School. He has been bass trombonist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra since 1981 and is a five-time Grammy winner with that organization. Steve has participated in more than thirty Live from Lincoln Center Metropolitan Opera telecasts. He has appeared as a soloist at the International Trombone Association Workshop, Eastern Trombone Workshop, and the New York Conference for Scholarships for Brass Players. Steve is a former member of the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and has also performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and has toured with the New York Philharmonic. Manhattan School of Music faculty since 1988.
