Jocelyn Stewart, harpsichordist, has had a varied career as a solo, chamber, and orchestral performer. She has toured as concerto soloist with the Bach Festival Orchestra in Argentina, Brazil, Chili, and Uruguay; she has performed as soloist and with chamber groups on prestigious series in many U.S. cities, including Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston, Cleveland, and Detroit and has performed as soloist several times in Holland. In New York, Ms. Stewart has performed on the premier early music series Music Before 1800 and numerous times as soloist and collaborative artist at Weill Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, and Miller Theater.
Ms. Stewart was selected to perform as lecture-recitalist for a national meeting of the American Musicological Society and has performed for the Southeastern and Midwestern Historical Keyboard Societies, the American Recorder Society, and the Bach-Schütz Society.
Ms. Stewart started a harpsichord department at the Manhattan School of Music Precollege division, and is Harpsichord Instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University where she teaches graduate students, in addition to a private teaching studio in New York City.
