The Facilities Department is responsible for the physical environment
of the Manhattan School of Music building, including cleaning, maintenance,
security, telecommunications, climate control, mail services, and
furnishings.
Our office is located in Room 008; hours are Monday through Friday,
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can contact us in person, by calling
ext. 4448 or 4526, or by using the e-mail links below. After business
hours, and on weekends or holidays, please call the security desk
at ext. 4444 or 0.

Main Building Hours
Monday – Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Saturday*: 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
*On Saturdays, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Precollege Division
primarily uses the building.
Lost and Found
All inquires or returns are handled through the Facilities Department,
Room 008. Manhattan School of Music is not responsible for losses
of personal property. Students are strongly advised not to leave
instruments or personal items unattended. The security guard cannot
accept any personal items or instruments for safekeeping.
Key Requests
Keys are available for authorized individuals through the Facilities
Office. Unless it is an emergency, keys normally take a few days
to make. There will be a fee for replacement of lost building keys.
Additional Policy Information
Vandalism: Vandalism is a serious matter. Please
treat the School’s property with respect. Any acts of vandalism
will lead to serious disciplinary action.
Smoking: The Manhattan School of Music is a non-smoking
facility, with the exception of the 122nd Street courtyard adjacent
to the cafeteria. Violations of this policy will be dealt with accordingly.
