Manhattan School of Music recognizes donors who contribute significant annual commitments to its scholarship and programmatic efforts. These individuals, foundations, and corporations recognize the importance of supporting our students as they pursue their music studies. These categories include:

President’s Circle
Deans’ Circle
Opera Forum
Corporate Circle
Precollege Division


College Scholarships

Donors in the following categories are given opportunities throughout the School year to meet their designated scholarship student and attend concerts and recitals in which the student performs.

  • President’s Scholarship Circle: Donors who make an annual commitment that supports a full tuition scholarship or a full tuition scholarship with living stipend for a deserving student at Manhattan School of Music.
  • Deans’ Circle: Donors who make an annual commitment that provides a partial College Scholarship for the School’s scholarship program are members of the Deans’ Circle.

Opera Forum

The Opera Forum is comprised of opera enthusiasts who support the vocal and opera programs at Manhattan School of Music. In addition, opportunities are made available for more direct contact with both faculty and students in the field of opera and vocal performance, as well as education programs focusing on preparation and training for the field. Workshop attendance during the School year, formal and informal lectures and discussions about operatic topics and composers by both faculty members and other experts in the field, as well as attendance at the fall and spring opera performances and the opera scenes program at the School are made available to the members.

Corporate Circle

The Corporate Circle is comprised of a group of individuals from the business and professional community dedicated to increase awareness and expand and strengthen financial support for the Manhattan School of Music. Their primary objectives are to provide financial support to fund one student scholarship each year and to promote awareness and introduce potential donors among the business and professional communities in which they participate.

Precollege Division

Manhattan School of Music offers a superb conservatory training program for children ages 5 – 18 in its Precollege Division. This program, which is held on Saturday’s during the academic year, attracts extremely talented individuals many of who are in need financial assistance. The Precollege Division Scholarship Fund and the Dianne Flagello Precollege Endowment Fund provide necessary partial and full scholarship support. The Precollege Division presents concerts are during the program year that are open to the public.
