With over 800 colleagues from some 40 countries, our students enjoy
a diverse campus with a sense of community amidst the vibrant culture
of New York City. Through a wide variety of social, service, and
educational activities, you'll find numerous opportunities on campus
to get involved and form new friendships. Events include such activities
as a welcome social, an orientation cruise around the island, a
winter formal, a family and friends weekend, pizza parties, a health
and wellness fair, international student events, and Alexander technique
classes. Student organizations also offer another avenue to meet
people with common interests and build leadership skills. And, if
you're fitness-minded, the Columbia University gym is nearby and
available for a special student fee.
In addition to activities organized by the Office of Student Life,
you can take part in an array of workshops and speaker forums, such
as the Wednesdays at Manhattan series and Career Awareness events,
organized by the Office of Career Development.
Our newly constructed residence hall,
directly adjacent to the main building, is also an important resource
for providing students with a vibrant community in which to study
and live. Both undergraduate and graduate students from all over
the world live on campus and participate in social activities, study
groups, recreation, clubs, and student organizations.
At Manhattan School of Music, you'll become part of a lively atmosphere
that will enable you to grow and thrive both musically and personally.
