Orientation activities take place approximately a week and a half
prior to the start of classes each fall semester for all incoming
undergraduate and graduate students. Programs and activities have
been designed to assist students in the transition to their new
lives on and off campus and include opportunities for students to
get to know one another and become acclimated to both Manhattan
School of Music and New York City. Placement testing is done for
international and first-year undergraduates during this time as
well. An orientation packet with a complete list and description
of activities will be mailed in July to all accepted students.
