Orientation activities take place approximately a week and a half prior to the start of classes each fall semester for all incoming undergraduate and graduate students. Programs and activities have been designed to assist students transitioning into their new lives on and off campus. The Orientation calendar includes opportunities for students to get to know one another and become acclimated to both Manhattan School of Music and New York City. Placement testing as well as orchestra and opera auditions occur during this time as well.
