Support the Department’s main mission to provide a safe and professional performance environment to all members of the MSM community, including Students, Faculty, Staff, and Patrons, while supporting the goals of the School and maintaining and preserving the physical integrity of the performance venues.
Assist the Production Manager and Technical Director with the following tasks and responsibilities:
Maintain the Production Staff and Crew Schedule.
Process payroll for the Production Department workers.
Purchase for the Department and the Production venues (supplies, equipment, service calls) including collaborating with colleagues for specific needs, researching best value, maintaining the database for account tracking, processing payments and check requests, and reconciling the Department credit cards and petty cash drawer.
Participate in committees and meetings as requested; attend concerts and school events as required.
Part-time Production Management Assistant work-hours are based on department requirements and are scheduled as needed. The schedule may include evenings, weekends, and daytime hours, with an average of approximately 25 hours per week (with an opportunity for more hours if or as the schedule demands).
2+ years technical theater experience, 1+ year of administrative assistant experience, and management experience preferred.
Professional demeanor, superior communication skills, comfort in high-pressure situations, adaptable, solution-oriented and skilled in collaboration.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, with knowledge of EMS Software and Vectorworks CAD Software preferred.
F-03 NYC Fire Guard Certification & CPR and First Aid Certification; training available for appropriate candidate.
