Joseph Bassin

Joseph Bassin holds a Doctorate in Music Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, a Masters of Music Theory from Manhattan School of Music, and Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Fredonia State University. He has been on the theory faculty of MSM Precollege since 1972, was department chair from 1988-2002, and is presently director of elementary bands in the public schools in Chatham, N.J. For a number of years in the early 1970’s, Dr. Bassin was a back up musician in John Lennon’s band.
