Precollege Faculty:Harp
Kristi Rostad Shade began her musical training in the Suzuki harp program at the age of 2. She received her Bachelor’s of Music from the University of Miami and her Master’s of Music from the Manhattan School of Music.
Kristi has performed throughout the New York Area with the Albany Symphony, The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, Ensemble 212, The New England Ensemble, The Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, The Astoria Symphony Orchestra, Manhattan School of Music’s contemporary ensemble TACTUS, and most recently, on Broadway with The Apple Tree. She has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fischer Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Awards include the ASTA competition winner for the state of Florida, a 2006 Downbeat award, and 3 American Harp Society Awards.
Manhattan School of Music Precollege faculty since 2007.
