“We train musical theatre artists excelling in acting, singing, and dancing to thrive in a field where they need to be more than performers: Successful artists today are also creative contributors to project development, skilled at digital media, entrepreneurial or self-producing.”

Associate Dean and Chair of Musical Theatre

SLIDESHOW: MSM Musical Theatre students had a very special guest at a rehearsal for their performance of Cabaret taking place on Feb 4-6, 2019 -- the composer himself, John Kander, who gave valued feedback to the performers.

The recent production of “Cabaret” by Manhattan School of Music’s Musical Theatre program totally blew me away. The talent and dedication of the students brought me back to the original excitement I felt in 1966 when the show premiered. I am so grateful to the program for giving me that experience and I wish I could hire each and every one of them.
