College Faculty:Theory & Aural Skills: Composition, Theory, and Aural Skills
Dr. Peter Andreacchi, who teaches theory and keyboard skills, received his Ph.D. from CUNY in 1986 and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Manhattan School of Music in 1981 and 1979, respectively. He is a composer, pianist, and writer with a lifelong interest in the relation of music to spiritual traditions and practices. His numerous concerts have featured a range of styles, from ritualistic vocals to electronic soundscapes to microtonal improvisation. His most recent project, a “labyrinthine Web site,” reflects a renewed fascination with German Romanticism; it can be viewed at peterandreacchi.com. Andreacchi is the proud father of five and grandfather of eight.
