Silenced Scores: Rediscovering Chamber Music of World War II’s Forbidden Composers is a student project led by MSM flute master’s student Lucy Rubin. This lecture recital sheds light on suppressed musicians of the era, celebrates their resilience, preserves their works, and ensures their legacy inspires future generations. Silenced Scores will take place on Wednesday, FEB 19, at 7:30 PM in Miller Recital Hall.
MSM Black Student Union presents their annual Black History Month Concert A Tribute to Generations of Black Musical Excellence on February 6 at 7:30 in Neidorff-Karpati Hall. We spoke with the BSU student leaders about the concert and what Black History means to them.Â
This year, 14 members of our MSM Community were part of GRAMMY Award-winning projects (out of our nearly 50 nominations).The 67th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony honored winning and nominated recordings, compositions, and artists for work as chosen by the members of the Recording Academy. The prestigious industry event was aired live on CBS on February 2, 2025.
