The panel, titled “Auditioning and Applying to Music Schools”, was led by MSM’s own Assistant Vice President for Admission, Emma Davis. Panelists included admission representatives from Curtis Institute of Music, Florida State University College of Music, Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. The panelists gave insightful advice on how the college audition and application process works to help make the process as streamlined as possible for families.
After the panel and college fair concluded, students were then able to observe a series of master classes, including a Chamber Music Master Class led by Jessica Meyer, a Jazz Arts Master Class led by Jeremy Manasia, an Orchestral Performance Oboe Master Class led by Philippe Tondre (Principal Oboe for the Philadelphia Orchestra), and a Vocal Arts Master Class led by Mary Dunleavy.
