Tell us about Freshman Pops!

Quinn: Freshman Pops is the first performance of the Musical Theatre freshman class of 2029. Together, we perform a cabaret-style show with fully staged musical numbers of all styles and sizes. It’s always tremendous fun and a highly anticipated introduction to all the new faces each year!

Why should people attend this performance?

Quinn: There’s so much to see at Freshman Pops! It is the culmination of all the hard work the new students have put in with the creative team. You wouldn’t want to miss out on our show.

Tell about the number you are performing in?

Quinn: The musical number I’m performing in is “Love is an Open Door” from Disney’s Frozen. I have the privilege of getting to perform this alongside the incredibly talented Jenna Seasholtz. It’s such a fun number to watch and an absolute joy to perform.

How has your first year been so far?

Quinn: My first year has been everything I’ve wanted. The teachers and students I spend my life with now inspire me every day. The more I experience here at MSM, the more I realize just how incredible it is to be here. I’m so excited to see where the rest of my journey takes me!

Why did you decide to attend MSM?

Quinn: I chose to attend MSM for a whole sort of reasons, but my biggest influence had to be the way it felt to step into this building. Immediately after my audition, I knew this is where I would end up. From the moment the students showed me around the halls, everything made MSM seem like a place where I could grow into who I wanted to be.

“The more I experience here at MSM, the more I realize just how incredible it is to be here.”

What is something significant that has inspired you in your journey as an artist?

Quinn: Something that has inspired me in my journey as an artist has been the friendships I’ve made through performing, especially here at MSM. Whenever I’ve been at a low point here, it’s the remarkably talented and kind classmates I’ve come to know who’ve changed my perspective. Not only have they pushed me to keep going, but they’ve also shown me how far I’ve already come.

Describe Freshman Pops in 3 words!
