College Faculty: Musical Theatre: Senior Showcase
Caitlin Ort is a NYC based director/choreographer dedicated to theater activism; particularly uplifting stories through a feminist lens. She is pursuing certification in intimacy direction with IDC and looks forward to further understand how she can make creative spaces truly safe for all to explore, collaborate, and take risks.
Previous credits of notes include Director for Bring it On at LaSalle College of the Arts Singapore, Associate Director/Choreographer for the World Premier of A Hanukkah Carol at Round House Theater, directed/choreographed by Marlo Hunter, composed by Aaron Kenny, book by Harrison Bryan and Rob Berliner, lyrics by Rob Berliner. Additionally, Caitlin was the Associate Choreographer for the China premier of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, working in collaboration with director/choreographer Chloe Treat and music supervisor Or Matias.
Ort received the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Choreography’ award from the Metro Awards for her work on Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at NVOT Regional in 2023, and received a nomination in the same category for Cats at NVOT Regional in 2024. Her work as a director/choreographer has been featured at Theater 4615, Theater at Monmouth, NYC Fringe Festival, and Scranton Shakespeare Festival.
