Talented musicians aged 5 to 18 are invited to apply and audition for MSM Precollege, our highly respected pre-conservatory training program held on Saturdays during the school year

The MSM Precollege program gives students high-level professional instruction and performing opportunities in a supportive, collaborative environment, as well as valuable collaborative time spent with like-minded peers, many of whom become life-long friends and colleagues.

Many of our graduates go on to attend world-class conservatories, Ivy League universities, and other prestigious institutions.

About MSM Precollege

Admitted students may take part in either the Classical Program or the Jazz Program.

Instruction each Saturday throughout the school year includes:

• Weekly private lessons
• Classes such as theory, ear training, composition, orchestra, chorus, and conducting
• Numerous performances

Meet the Precollege Faculty

The Precollege faculty comprises members from the American String Quartet, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Greenwich Symphony, Bergen Philharmonic, Long Island Philharmonic, Lake George Opera Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and the internationally renowned college faculty of MSM.
