MSM’s Center for Career Readiness & Community Impact (CCRCI) is pleased to offer the Travel Assistance Program for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The Travel Assistance Program (TAP) provides assistance in the form of financial reimbursement to select MSM students for professional development and/or employment opportunities related to their chosen field.
Applications for the Travel Assistance Program (TAP) are accepted a on an ongoing basis and must be for event travel taking place at least 14 days after submission.
Select MSM students are eligible to apply for travel assistance to attend competitions, festivals, professional auditions, and additional professional training opportunities related to music and/or the performing arts.

Application Process:
Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applications will be reviewed by a predetermined advisory committee comprised of MSM deans, full-time faculty, and staff. Decisions will be made based on a student’s application proposal, academic standing, and successful fulfillment of a career readiness consultation with the CCRCI.
Application Timeline:

Upon approval, applicants will be required to submit the following to the CCRCI main office:
“I’m proud to share that I won first prize in the [Atlanta Flute Club Young Artists] Competition, and I credit part of that success to the freedom [TAP] provided…” “Because of our travel assistance, we were able to not only represent the Manhattan School of Music on a national stage, but also cement our school in the electronic history of the National Trumpet Competition.” “Attending the Brazil Conference at Harvard and MIT was more than just an opportunity, it was a turning point. …I am deeply grateful to MSM for supporting me financially to attend, and am eager to give back through projects and initiatives I believe can make a meaningful difference for our students.”
