Summer English Study (SES)

Log into Transact | Sign in using MSM credentials. TRANSACT accepts the following payment methods: ACH, wire transfers, credit card, debit card including international credit cards.

Note that Transact charges service fees as follows:

-$0.25 per ACH

-3% to use a domestic credit or debit card

-4.25% to use an international credit card

-For international payments, it is important to complete all steps; otherwise, the transaction will not be processed. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure the payment is processed early enough to meet payment due date.

Be sure to include student name and student ID number within the Memo section of the check and money order. Mail payment to:

The check date should mirror the date it’s either mailed, provided to a Student Accounts staff, or placed in the Drop Box. Should a check be rejected by MSM’s Bank, a $35 returned check fee will be applied to the student account, and an alternative payment method must be used for a year.

Please note that: A physical Drop Box is also available between rooms A-440 and A-441 for check or money order payments made after normal business hours. Normal business hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

In compliance with FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act), the Student Accounts Office will NOT discuss your student account with your parent, guardian, or any other financial sponsor unless we have a signed authorization on file. To maintain written consent to release non-directory information to specific individuals, please sign and return the FERPA form. Authorization will remain in effect for your entire enrollment unless you notify the school of a desired change in writing.

The Student Accounts Office reserves the right to assess a late fee up to $250 on past due accounts. Please note that non-receipt of an invoice does not constitute an exception to the late fee policy as student charges are accessible in the student portal. The student is the account holder and therefore responsible for ensuring that payments are made by the due date regardless of the source of funds. The student is also responsible for forwarding student account information to other parties that have agreed to make payment (i.e., parents, sponsors, etc.).

Should account balances become overdue, MSM may prevent you from beginning SES which may impact the start of the fall semester or moving into Andersen Hall. Excessively passed due accounts may be referred to a Collection Agency

Students who wish to file a Leave of Absence or Withdrawal notice are required to email ESL office esl@msmnyc.edu with a formal request to Withdraw.

Students who withdraw from MSM after classes started are fully liable to tuition, fees and housing.
