Composition

The programs of study for composition majors are designed to equip students with knowledge and skills required for the fullest development of their individual creative gifts. In addition to studies with our expert faculty, students are provided additional opportunities to play for and observe world-renowned guest artists. Recent master classes in this department have included Joan La Barbara, Steve Mackey, Ned Rorem, Morton Subotnick, Steve Reich, and Charles Wuorinen.
