Manhattan School of Music annually raises funds towards the School’s
operating budget. Alumni, music lovers, student’s families
and friends of the School, as well as foundations and corporations,
support this effort. Their generosity enables the School to provide
superb music education and much needed scholarship dollars for students
in both the College and Precollege Divisions of Manhattan School
of Music.
General Operating Fund
The most valuable gift the School can receive is one that has an
unrestricted use. This enables Manhattan School of Music to put
your donation where it is needed most to assist our annual operating
expenditures, including programmatic funding for both the Collegiate
and Precollege divisions.
College Scholarship Fund
The second most useful gift designation within the annual fund
is support toward the College Scholarship Fund. This gift helps
provide needed scholarships for students studying in the School’s
bachelor’s, master’s, professional studies, and doctoral
programs. Donors to both the President’s
Scholarship Circle and Deans’
Circle make their donations to the College Scholarship Fund.
Precollege Scholarship Fund
This designation specifically supports scholarships in Manhattan
School of Music’s Precollege Division aiding young, talented
musicians reach their full potential. The Precollege Division serves
children aged 5 – 18 who demonstrate musical ability and wish
to partake in a complete conservatory training program.
