Welcome to Orientation at Manhattan School of Music, August 28 – September 8, 2023!
Orientation is a great way to settle into MSM, get to know New York City, and make new friends!
The week will consist of various social activities, such as a sunset cruise around the tip of Manhattan, a smoothie social in the president’s residence, and visits to iconic sites in New York City. Furthermore, there will be informative meetings to assist students in adjusting to the School. It is important to highlight that we encourage all parents to attend Convocation and the Student Success presentation for families on Monday, August 28th. These events will take place in Neidorff Hall at 2pm and 3pm, respectively.
Additionally, students have the opportunity to finish up any outstanding paperwork, learn about MSM programs and resources, and participate in departmental auditions.
The orientation calendar of events is shared through a Canvas Course available to incoming students starting in late July.
