One of the best parts of living in Andersen Hall is having the opportunity to make connections and build friendships with other musicians and artists. Residence Life makes it easy to meet new people by hosting tons of fun events throughout the year.

Residential Curriculum

Residence Life hosts events that are fun, but we also strive to offer our residents something of value to support their success while living on campus. We have 3 goals when it comes to the programs and events Creating Connections, Exploring Identity, and Making Educated Decisions. Popular Programs and Events

We host events that everyone can enjoy. Some of our Resident’s favorite events include:

• Bingo – Residents enjoy our themed bingo events. We’ve done self-care bingo, bedroom bingo, and each time residents love competing for prizes and learning a bit along the way!
• Crafting – Whether it’s painting on canvases, plant holders, or pumpkins, our residents enjoy taking a break to express their creativity in a different and relaxing way.
• Competitions – Our residents can get competitive when it comes to Mario Kart or ping-pong tournaments where they have a chance to win prizes and bragging rights.
• Cultural Celebrations – We love to celebrate the many cultures represented in Andersen Hall! We frequently host events that celebrate identity, featuring food, music, and activities from various cultures.
• Giveaways – We love giving our residents opportunities to win prizes!  During our Residence Life Orientation meeting, residents have the chance to win big prizes such as TVs, air fryers, and other items to make them feel more at home.
• Karaoke – Residents enjoy singing their favorite hits together! You don’t need to be a vocalist to participate, just come out and have fun!
